I've been crafting since I was a child.
I'm not the best crafter in the world. In fact, I'm a bit slapdash. But I'm keen and I love it!

I abandoned crafting for a while and came back to it about 10 years ago, where I feverishly knitted jumpers. Lots and lots of jumpers.

However, there was something missing, but I didn't know what it was. Then I came across the wonderful BBC Four programme 'Craftivism: Making a Difference' (watch here) and everything suddenly clicked into place. I realised I was a craftivist already - making a Pussy Hat in 2019 (you can get the pattern here).

Now I mainly crochet and cross-stitch items which, I hope, can make the world a better place. I'm still finding my feet and know my crafting will change as time goes on and I get new, fab ideas and involve myself in new campaigns.

I get so much joy out of crafting for a purpose and hopefully it has helped raise awareness or even just made someone smile a little.
